Where DSEL is Redefining What’s Possible Across
Ottawa
DSEL Project Highlights:
Shaping Ottawa’s Growth
From complex terrain to innovative stormwater management, the DSEL team is proud to have engineered sustainable, thriving master-planned communities across Ottawa.
Since 2009, we’ve been transforming challenging sites into vibrant neighbourhoods. Check out how we brought these four major communities to life:
Master-planned community supporting 3,000+ low-rise residential units across challenging terrain, integrating creek crossings and major offsite servicing infrastructure.
Cardinal Creek Village
Multi-phase development, landowner group cost-sharing, and innovative drainage solutions to overcome complex soil and groundwater challenges.
Barrhaven South
Former aggregate site repurposed for residential development using dynamic compaction and integrated Low Impact Development (LID) stormwater systems.
The Ridge
Community-level studies, offsite sewer upgrades, a new communal well facility and innovative LID solutions in lieu of a traditional stormwater pond maximizing developable land area.
Fox Run & Richmond Meadows
In Ottawa, DSEL has shaped communities from Cardinal Creek Village in the east-230 hectares with creek crossings, ponds, and major servicing—to Barrhaven South, where we’ve supported 530 hectares since 2009 with innovative solutions like sump pump drainage.
